Evony Babur: 2026 Best Mounted Defense Assistant General

Babur is a newly released mounted troop general in Evony, arriving as part of the 2026 Children’s Day events. Built to enhance cavalry performance, he delivers significant boosts to cavalry attack, defense, and march size, making him a strong pick for players looking to dominate on the battlefield. Read on for a full breakdown of his skills, stats, and best use cases.

Babur’s General Story

When Babur inherited the throne of Fergana at just 12, surrounded by powerful enemies, even his most loyal followers could scarcely have imagined that this repeatedly exiled young ruler — forced time and again to fight alone — would one day lay the foundations for three centuries of Mughal dominion over the Indian subcontinent.

Exile and defeat marked his early years. Inspired by his ancestor Timur, he captured Samarkand three times, only to lose it to more powerful rivals. Reaching his lowest point in the Hindu Kush with only a few loyal troops, he accepted that his homeland could no longer sustain his ambitions and turned his eyes toward the riches of India.

Allies shifted and enemies changed sides, but Babur’s hard-won military genius and iron will never wavered. At the First Battle of Panipat, he led ten thousand elite troops against a force nearly ten times his size, backed by over a thousand war elephants. Deploying matchlock firearms and artillery never before seen on Indian battlefields, he turned the tide of battle, claimed a legendary victory, and founded an empire that would rule India for more than three hundred years.

Yet Babur was more than a conqueror. His memoir, the Baburnama, stands as one of history’s most remarkable military chronicles, capturing not only the brutality of his campaigns but also the landscapes, flora, and cultures he encountered along the way. Even in foreign lands, he yearned for the melons and cool evening breezes of his homeland. By weaving together Central Asian, Persian, and Indian traditions, he left behind a legacy far more enduring than any empire.
